Quiet Day

Quiet Day

It is our tradition at this time of year to invite people to the church to engage in a Quiet Day as part of our Easter journey. Obviously, we are not able to do that at this time, with our churches being closed but we wanted to keep the tradition of an Easter Quiet Day in place in order to encourage and enable our faith journey.

Mother Angela has been on retreat to Hacienda Los Olivos Retreat Centre, run by Fr Daniel Munoz and Guy Wynter at their retreat centre in the Sierra Nevada a number of times until they moved in 2019.  We have teamed up with  Los Olivos Retreats who have created a Virtual Quiet Day in order to encourage you to take time with God  and refresh your faith at your own pace.

You can begin your Quiet Day with Morning Prayer click here for the order of service. You can join the service leader, Fr. Daniel Munoz, for the service here and scroll to the Morning Prayer video.

The first period of your Quiet Day, invites us to consider the letters of Teresa of Avila and St. John of the Cross reflecting upon the subject of “bringing light into a dark world.”  Click here for a PDF document of the Letters.

Then join the speaker for the address here and scroll to Address 1 video, where Fr. Daniel will be discussing the subject of “bringing light into a dark world”

The second period of your Quiet Day, invites us to reflect on the ’10 tips from a Nun’  encouraging us in “navigating times of crisis today.”  Click here for a PDF document of 10 tips from a Nun.

Then we again join Fr. Daniel, for the address here and scroll to Address 2 video, he will be discussing the subject of “navigating times of crisis today.”

The Quiet Day concludes with Evening Prayer click here for the order of service. You can join Fr. Daniel, for the service here and scroll to the Evening Prayer video.

May you have a blessed Easter Journey.
