Funerals

It is hard to be separated from someone you love.  At St Michael and All Angels and at St Paul's church we are privileged to walk alongside those who are suffering the pain of bereavement.

This includes conducting funeral services or memorial services.  But there is much more.  Before a funeral service, the clergy will visit the bereaved family. After the funeral service is over, a member of our Pastoral Team will contact you, to see how you are getting on.

Once a year, around the beginning of November (All Souls' Day), we hold a special service at St Michael's church, remembering those who have died and giving thanks for their lives.

Arranging a funeral

It is common now that in the event of a funeral we will be contacted directly by your chosen Funeral Director, so please contact them first. A suitable time and date will be agreed and the member of the ministry team responsible will contact you to discuss the details for either a crematorium or church service.

However, if you wish to speak to a member a clergy team first, please email us at  sbrparish@gmail.com
