Zimbabwean Celebration
A Zimbabwean Celebration On Saturday 28th April 2018, we are holding a special fundraising evening at The Centre Wallington to help our link parish of St Michael’s in Kwekwe, Zimbabwe, complete the building of their much needed church hall. As part of our commitment to mission, 50% of funds raised will also go to the charity Young Roots - www.youngroots.org.uk - who are linked to the City of Sanctuary movement and have a local base in Croydon that helps young refugees and asylum seekers in our area. The London Borough of Sutton is working towards becoming a Borough of Sanctuary, a community where refugees and migrants feel safe and find people who will welcome them. City of Sanctuary is a movement committed to building a culture of hospitality and welcome, especially for refugees seeking sanctuary from war and persecution. This event will be a special Zimbabwean-themed evening of celebration with:
