Welcome from the Vicar

A very warm welcome to the website of the Parish of South Beddington and Roundshaw.

I am very pleased to say that after months of our church buildings being closed following National Government and Church of England guidelines, St Michael & All Angels South Beddington and St Paul's Church Roundshaw have re-opened for public worship..

St. Paul’s Roundshaw is open for parish mid-week mass on Wednesday at 10:30 and a said service on Sunday at 8.30 am.

Our Sunday service from St Michael & All Angels Church will continue to be live streamed each Sunday at 10.30 am.  If you are unable to be physically with us you may find it helpful to use the Spiritual Communion resource available on the website.

Both churches are Covid Safe and there are protocols in place to ensure that we remain so, including a request that masks are worn whilst in the church buildings,  particularly during singing.   .

Where possible and to ensure that we have a record of those who have are/have been in our buildings, all visitors are asked to sign in and/or check in using the NHS Track and Trace app (pre booking is currently not required)

As a parish, we see faith as a journey we take together, as we aim to grow closer to God and to one another, and to support each other in times of difficulty. In these present times it is vitally important that we continue to be a praying and prayer-full community for those amongst whom we live and work.

As Christians, we are to be in the forefront of providing practical care and support for the most poor and the most vulnerable during these times; our Foodbank remains open each Thursday afternoon from 12 noon until 2 pm. The Foodbank is still in need of supplies, so please drop any items for the Foodbank to St Michael's during open church days.  Open Church at St Michael's Church is on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday each week from 9.30 am until 11.30 am.

As we navigate the new normal with the grace of God in South Beddington & Roundshaw, let us commit to praying daily for each other.

With our prayers and best wishes.

Mother Angela Gbebikan
